Special Festival event with Michael Morpurgo
Posted on 26th March 2024
We are partnering with the Budleigh Music Festival for a special event on 7th July with Sir Michael Morpurgo presenting his Carnival of the Animals
We are delighted to be partnering with the Budleigh Music Festival in this very special event. One of the UK’s best loved writers will be reading from his new collection of animal poems that celebrate with heart and humour the creatures with whom we share our planet. Collaborating once more with iconic artist, Michael Foreman, who illustrates the collection, Morpurgo’s poems are inspired by The Carnival of the Animals – the humorous musical by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns.
Listen as the animals speak in their own voices, full of humour and brio, to tell of their lives and the impact of humanity on their habitats. It is a celebration of the natural world in verse.
Ideal for ages 7 to 107.
Open for booking from April 5th.
