Festival Friends
The Festival is a registered charity and it flourishes and expands year by year, retaining its warm and intimate atmosphere, attracting to Budleigh Salterton well known authors in a large variety of fields.
One of our important charitable aims is our school outreach programme which takes authors and illustrators into schools across East Devon to inspire children and help them to grow a love of books and reading which will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Good literacy and well-being go hand in hand. It is our ambition to make sure children have the best possible access to great books and writing.
We very much rely on the support of Friends of the Festival to help us deliver the Festival and the outreach programme to schools.
There are many benefits to being a Friend:
- Advance notification of the Festival programme
- Priority booking for tickets for live events
- An invitation to the Friends’ Reception in September
- Early information on Festival news and events
There are two categories of Friends’ membership:
Single – £20
Enabling the purchase of one ticket per event during the priority booking period.
Joint – £35
Enabling the purchase of two tickets per event during the priority booking period.
Private Festival Benefactor
You might also consider becoming a Private Festival Benefactor by donating £250. Your name will be listed in the Festival Brochure.
