Beach Hut Book Swap gets Kids Reading
Posted on 2nd June 2023
The Festival was down on the beach for Gala Week with storytelling and books to share.
There was a flurry of children keen to discover new books over the Summer half term and Budleigh Gala Week as they joined us in our beach hut packed with books handed on by older children for younger ones to discover and enjoy. There was storytelling too and our enormous thanks to the Festival volunteers who gave their time to make this happen. Through the weekend of 23rd and 24th September there will be more FREE activities in our marquee on the Green, Staton Road, as we celebrate 30 years of Horrible Histories, as well as events for families to enjoy with authors including Martin Brown and Kristina Stephenson. See you there after the Summer holidays!
