Does the Internet Own You?

Available to view from 12pm, Sunday 20th September 2020

The internet is a network of connections enmeshing the world, linking eventually to us. All are owned by someone, financed by someone, regulated by someone, and they know a great deal about us. Plus that knowledge doesn’t disappear when we die – so who is helped, who is hurt and who’s in charge of that lasting legacy? Investigative journalist James Ball, author of The System, and Elaine Kasket, psychologist and author of All the Ghosts in the Machine, share their expertise on the inner workings of the system and the real-life figures pulling the strings of our society.
