The professional storyteller and author collaborates with an accomplished fiddle player in a sparkling performance of folktales and folksongs that celebrate the changing seasons. Based on Martin’s recently published book, Telling the Seasons, they skilfully interweave stirring stories and magical music to whisk you around the wheel of the year taking you on a journey through 12 months of stories, customs and celebrations. Drawing on the changing patterns of nature, and the rich tapestry of folklore from the British Isles, join a colourful guide into how and why we continue to celebrate the seasons. Martin and Lucy first played together at their sell-out show at Brid Lit Fest last year, and are regular performers at both folk and literary festivals around the UK.
