Talking To

Tim Hubbard

From trial by bread to ice cream made from parsnips, the food historian’s entertaining and informative history links the story of English cuisine with the socio-political changes the nation has undergone throughout the centuries. She will explore the development of the coffee trade and the birth of London’s coffee houses, where views were exchanged on politics, art, and literature, and introduces the first breeders of British beef and reveals how cattle triggered the terrible Glencoe Massacre.
