The Festival’s President will be giving her first face to face interview since lockdown about the much-acclaimed and No.1 best-selling finale in the Booker prizewinning trilogy of her life of Thomas Cromwell. She’ll be talking to James Naughtie about the crafting of the novel, and the challenges of re-creating the Cromwellian world with forensic attention to historic detail but original and inspired fictional narrative. They will also be discussing her new collection of essays Mantel Pieces, covering a diverse range of topics with originality and insight.
