In a Lit Fest first, the prestigious Arvon Foundation is offering a free writing workshop with a top writer for young people aged 12 to 18 who want to explore how to create stories.

Intense, practical and rewarding – but all great fun – you’ll come away with a head full of new ideas, words on the page, and a story underway.

Christopher Wakling’s six books include What I Did (‘A powerful parable of 21st century society … A fine, challenging novel.’ Mail on Sunday) and The Devil’s Mask (‘A fascinating, morally complex tale of greed and murder.’ Sunday Times Books of the Year).

His new novel, Escape and Evasion, will be published by Faber & Faber in 2018. He is lead fiction tutor at Curtis Brown Creative and regularly teaches for the Arvon Foundation.

Places strictly limited.
