A Life in Nature

Venue: Public Hall
Time: 12.15pm

The Times has described Herefordshire farmer John Lewis-Sempel as ‘Britain’s finest living nature writer’. His stunning output of work certainly supports that – his many books include the Sunday Times top five best-sellers The Running Hare and The Wood. He is the only person to have twice won the Wainwright Prize for Nature Writing, with Meadowland and Where Poppies Blow.

In 2016 he was Magazine Columnist of the Year for his columns in Country Life magazine. He will be sharing his most recent book: Still Water – The Deep Life of the Pond, a loving biography and an alarm call on behalf of this precious but overlooked habitat and a remarkable journey – deep, deep down into the nature of
still water.
