Diane Setterfield’s mysterious debut novel, The Thirteenth Tale, was number one in the New York Times hardback fiction chart for three weeks, was published in 38 countries and adapted for television starring Christopher Hampton, Vanessa Redgrave and Olivia Colman.

She’ll be talking about her latest novel, Once Upon A River, a richly atmospheric story set at the source of the Thames, a tale of folklore and rumour in the era of the urgent scientific curiosity of the Darwin age.

A highly acclaimed and skilled writer, she’ll be sharing her thoughts behind her unique and compelling narrative style – which embraces in this new novel the power of storytelling with powerful storytelling.
